Network World: How Red Bull Racing uses IoT to win

Citrix customer Red Bull Racing uses XenDesktop to help improve the performance of its cars. While onsite during a race, technicians are constantly monitoring a complex IoT system with over 200 sensors measuring everything from physical force to engine temperatures. The trackside team views this telemetry in real time, giving the driver immediate information to improve performance during the race. Technicians also take this very graphical content and, using XenDesktop, send it to engineers back in the U.K. datacenter who are working on sophisticated CAD programs to create aerodynamic simulations in order to improve the car for the next race. Read more about the details from Red Bull Racing’s CIO, Matt Cadieux, in this Network World article.
